During his employment with the Glendale Post Acute Center, Stanfill has been accused of sexually assaulting a patient at least twice, with at least one instance involving a person who is seriously disabled or medically incapacitated and institutionalized for medical treatment. Stanfill is also believed to have worked at other facilities including Chandler Convalescent Hospital, Pasadena Park Healthcare and Wellness Center, and an unidentified El Monte facility.

Nursing Home Abuse and Legal Accountability
Sexual abuse in nursing homes is a serious violation of a patient’s safety and dignity. Under California law, elder abuse is strictly prohibited, and those responsible for such acts can face severe criminal and civil penalties. Additionally, facilities that fail to properly vet or supervise their employees can be held accountable for negligence.
Victims of nursing home abuse or their families may have legal grounds to pursue compensation for the harm caused. California’s Elder Abuse and Dependent Adult Civil Protection Act (EADACPA) provides legal recourse for victims of abuse or neglect in nursing home facilities.
